WordPress Developer

N4 Solutions is looking for a Word Press Developer to provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. This position is contingent upon passing a government suitability determination.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Website Development & Maintenance
  • Build, customize, and maintain Word Press websites, themes, and plugins.
  • Ensure websites are responsive, accessible, and optimized for speed and SEO.
  • Implement and test new features, ensuring functionality across different browsers and devices.
• Customization & Integrations
  • Customize existing themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
  • Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and services into Word Press.
  • Configure and manage Word Press hosting environments.
• Quality Assurance & Optimization
  • Conduct debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Maintain best practices for code quality, security, and version control (i.e., Git).
  • Implement analytics, tracking, and reporting tools.
• Collaboration & Support
  • Work closely with designers, content teams, and project managers to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
  • Support junior developers by reviewing code and sharing best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3–5 years of professional Word Press development experience.
• Proficient in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Understanding of SEO, accessibility (WCAG standards), and site performance optimization.
• Knowledge of hosting, DNS management, and Word Press security best practices.
• Experience with Word Press REST API, custom post types, and advanced custom fields (ACF) preferred.
• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks is a plus.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Eagerness to stay updated on Word Press trends and technologies.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Works well in team environments.
• U.S. Citizenship.
