Description
:
The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities to highly‑talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or an affiliated research institute. The fellowship is 1‑3 years, competitive, designed to advance NASA’s missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology.

Research Focus
:
Stellar interferometry and circumstellar material observations using ground‑based interferometers such as the Large Binocular Telescope Interferometer (LBTI) and the Very Large Telescope Interferometer (VLTI) with MATISSE and NOTT instruments. Research includes:

  • Providing technical support and contributing to the development of interferometric instruments.
  • Simulating instrument performance and calibration.
  • Generating target lists and science plans.
  • Performing data analysis, modeling (geometric and radiative transfer), and image reconstruction.
  • Publishing results from observational surveys of disks around young stars.
