Description: The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities at NASA Centers, Headquarters, or affiliated institutes. This fellowship supports one- to three‑year projects in space science and related fields. Current opportunities focus on observational cosmology at Goddard Space Flight Center.
- Develop and test suborbital balloon payloads (e.g., PIPER, EXCLAIM, Dust Buster) and mission concepts for future space missions (PIXIE, Phoenix, PICO).
- Analyze archival data to model Galactic emission from synchrotron, dust, and anomalous microwave emission.
- Measure CMB polarization to search for evidence of inflationary epochs and distortions from the blackbody spectrum to probe new physics.
- Measure far‑IR emission lines to determine the star‑formation history of the universe.
- Measure polarized emission from interstellar dust to understand its composition and emission mechanisms.
- Model diffuse synchrotron emission to investigate the origin of the observed radio background.
