As a Security Police Officer at Chenega, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of NASA’s facilities in Greenbelt, MD. You will be responsible for enforcing security protocols, responding to emergencies, and providing a visible and professional security presence.

• Patrol and Surveillance:
  Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter and detect suspicious activities. Monitor surveillance systems and report any security breaches.
• Access Control:
  Manage access to the facility by verifying identification and ensuring only authorized personnel enter. Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor badges.
• Emergency Response:
  Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies. Coordinate with emergency services as needed.
• Incident Reporting:
  Document and report all security incidents, accidents, and violations. Prepare detailed and accurate reports for review by management.
• Customer Service:
  Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clients. Address inquiries and assist with directions and information.
• Other Duties:
  Perform other duties as assigned.

• Age:
  Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1 year of military, security, or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Strong observational and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Certifications:
  
  Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Clearance:
  Must be eligible for a DoD clearance, though the clearance is not required to start.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

USD $37.85 per hour.
