Adjunct Faculty - Mathematics - Greencastle Site
Ivy Tech Community College is seeking Math Adjunct Instructors for Spring of 2026. These classes will run at the Greencastle Site, at different times during the day, face to face, in the classroom setting.
Responsibilities- Create a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals.
- Provide effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.
- Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
- Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
- Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
- Engage with students in meaningful and productive ways impacting student learning and providing a positive experience.
- Interact professionally with students and co‑workers, complying with College policies, campus guidelines and expectations.
- Ensure knowledge of and implementation of emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments.
- Possesses an earned master’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in mathematics; or
- Possesses an earned master’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics‑related courses.
- Meets the mathematics discipline standard, or
- Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree in mathematics from a regionally accredited institution, or
- Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution with one of the following: one semester of calculus, nine or more semester credit hours of college‑level mathematics, or nine or more semester credit hours of college‑level mathematics‑intensive courses.
- Meets the mathematics discipline standard, or
- Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree in mathematics from a regionally accredited institution, or
- Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution with one of the following: one semester of calculus, nine or more semester credit hours of college‑level mathematics, or nine or more semester credit hours of college‑level mathematics‑intensive courses.
- Meets the mathematics discipline standard, or
- Possesses an earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with completion of a calculus course (not brief calculus).
