For over 100 years our client has been providing critical access health services to the residents they serve. They offer a 24-hour Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, an Acute Care Medical/Surgical unit, and three surgical suites. Observation, inpatient care, and rehabilitation programs are offered within the units.
Job SummaryImproving work procedures, communications, and relationships between the HIM team and other team members throughout the Hospital as well as medical staff including other physician practices. Supervises the HIM team and all functions of Health Information Management, including efficient and effective processing of the medical record. Develops, defines, maintains, and implements policies and processes that enable consistent and effective privacy practices to minimize risk and ensure confidentiality of protected health information (PHI).
Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement efforts throughout the teams and collaborating facilities. Ensures the HIM team members have all necessary supplies and equipment needed to complete required tasks.

- Be a graduate of a Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) approved program for Health Information Technician or Health Information Administrator
- RHIA or RHIT certification
- Possess knowledge of laws and regulations for Health Information by licensing and accrediting bodies as well as government
- Ability to work under pressure and conditions of frequent interruptions
