Groundskeeper

Overview

We are hiring immediately for full-time GROUNDSKEEPER positions.

Location:

Greencastle Community Schools - 1002 Mill Pond Lane, Greencastle, IN 46135. Openings at other locations within the school district are available. Online applications accepted only.

Full-time schedule:
Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. More details upon interview.

• Plans and administers a program of grounds and plant maintenance, including growing schedules and propagation through plants and cuttings.
• Performs a variety of tasks related to the care of grasses and plants: trims, prunes, and removes shrubs, bushes, and trees.
• Performs general janitorial duties including property inspections, landscaping and grounds maintenance.
• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Inspects exterior of the property and grounds and reports deficiencies to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Mows lawns weekly during the proper season and cleans landscaping tools and equipment after use.
• Trims bushes to maintain neat appearance and desired shape.
• Weeds flowerbeds weekly or more often if needed.
• Shovels exterior walkways during winter weather and salts or sands icy walkways as needed.
• Contributes to the team and maintains professionalism with customers and coworkers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver s license required.
• Willing to train.

• Pay Range: $16.50 per hour to $17.00 per hour
