Job Duties- Follow all safety protocols when performing work on company properties.
- Perform building maintenance tasks for both indoor and outdoor areas of all facilities and satellite structures.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance in a factory setting.
- Possess a solid understanding of electrical circuits ranging from 12V to 480V.
- Install and maintain building plumbing systems (e.g., Black iron, Copper, PVC, PEX).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC issues effectively.
- Identify, source, and order parts required for equipment repairs.
- Inspect and maintain all plant air compressors.
- Complete assigned projects and assist with training other department employees.
- Perform tasks such as snow removal, drain maintenance, painting, floor grinding and polishing.
- Document all repairs and maintenance activities thoroughly.
- Execute preventive maintenance, work orders, and track inventory and time using the Maintenance Management System.
- Operate and drive support equipment, including lift trucks, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
- Assist with moving, rigging, and installing equipment as needed.
- Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe PDF.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant work experience in facility maintenance is required.
Must be able to remain active for an entire shift, frequently bend, reach above shoulder level, balance, and occasionally squat, crawl, climb, kneel, and push/pull. Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to use foot pedals and work at heights up to 30 feet. Must work in moderately noisy environments with exposure to outdoor temperatures, dust, solvents, grease, and oil.
Must safely operate lift trucks and work in areas with lift truck traffic.
Must be able to read work orders and prints, perform basic math, understand building structures, and have basic computer skills. Must work well in a team environment. A valid driver’s license may be required.
Use of electrician tools, meters, hoists, drills, grinders, pipe threaders, pipe wrenches, mechanic tools, lift trucks, ladders, and various hand and power tools. Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes, glasses, ear protection, and respirator, and operate heavy equipment as needed.
