. As a Behavior Technician at Total Spectrum, you’ll have the exciting role of helping children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self-help skills through a form of play-based therapy known as applied behavior analysis (ABA)!

Responsibilities- Helping children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self-help skills through a form of play-based therapy known as applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Working with kids aged 2-12 with autism and special needs in their homes or in one of our centers.
- Engaging in physical tasks such as push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds or moving quickly as required by client assignments.
- Maintaining a consistent weekly schedule, including mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings.
- A genuine desire to help children with autism and their families reach their goals.
- A steady supply of compassion, empathy, enthusiasm, kindness, goodwill, and reliability.
- A willingness to learn about autism, learning differences, and ABA.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license; personal vehicle preferred.
- Background check clearance.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule, with potential weekends.
- Preferably bi-lingual in English/Spanish.
- Background in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, health science or related field.
- Experience working with children in any capacity (babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, camp counselor, etc.).
- Desire to gain training and skills to support a career in behavior analysis, behavioral health, teaching, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, counseling, mental health, and parenting.
- Earn starting pay at $17/hr and up with experience.
- Full-time potential; part-time with full-time potential.
- Hours fall between 8am-6pm CST Monday-Friday and possible weekends.
- Paid Time Off: up to 15 days after 90 days of employment for full-time workers; sick leave for part-time.
- Opportunities for promotion within as little as three months.
Physical requirements vary and are based on specific client assignments. You may be asked to engage in any of the following push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds and move quickly, according to client needs. It is necessary to be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
