Location: Charlotte, NC or Greeneville, TN (multi-site responsibility)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried
Compensation: $160,000 – $190,000 base + annual incentive bonus
Relocation: Possible for the right candidate
Travel: Required (multi-location / customer-facing)
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with direct corrugated, paper, or packaging industry experience to lead and grow a high-impact commercial organization within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
This is a mid–senior level leadership role with national or significant regional responsibility. You will oversee sales strategy, manage and develop sales professionals, and partner closely with operations, marketing, and service teams to drive profitable growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term account value.
If you have built and led sales teams in the box, corrugated, retail packaging, or paper-based products space, and you understand how manufacturing, operations, and customer needs intersect, this role offers both scale and influence.
What You'll DoLead and manage the sales and marketing function using total quality and customer-focused principles
Own a significant portion of business unit revenue, with authority to deploy resources
Develop and execute market-driven sales strategies across multiple locations and channels
Build, coach, and lead high-performing sales teams
Grow profitable sales through deep customer relationships and strategic accounts
Identify and capitalize on geographic and segment-based growth opportunities
Partner cross-functionally with operations, service, and marketing to deliver customer value
Strengthen existing accounts and develop new business-building alliances
Align sales execution to broader business, sustainability, and operational goals
Required:
Bachelor's degree (Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field)
7+ years of sales experience in manufacturing, packaging, paper, or industrial products
2+ years of sales management or team leadership experience
Direct corrugated / box / retail packaging experience (strongly preferred and prioritized)
Proven success managing complex, multi-location or multi-account sales portfolios
Strong business acumen, customer focus, and leadership presence
Ability to travel regularly to support customers and teams
Highly Valued Backgrounds:
Corrugated box manufacturing
Paper, fiber, or sustainable packaging products
Industrial or manufacturing-based B2B sales
Roles interfacing directly with plant operations and customers
Lead sales at scale within a stable, global manufacturing environment
Influence revenue, strategy, and customer relationships at a senior level
