This position requires a valid TN Driver License, Bachelor's degree in construction related, civil related engineering, or a related field, and substantial high‑level professional experience in public works, utilities, engineering, or any combination of experience, education, or training that demonstrates this person has the leadership competencies necessary to fulfill the job requirements.

The Town of Greeneville is an EOE/TN Drug‑Free Workplace.

Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, you will find Greeneville – a Town rich in heritage as the home of the 17th U.S. President Andrew Johnson. The mission of the Town of Greeneville:
Always working to be the most desirable and dynamic small town in Tennessee; a thriving community in which to live, learn, work, and advance business. Greeneville has grown to a population of 15,170 and is the county seat of Greene County, an area known for its scenic mountains and agricultural traditions. The town’s unique spelling of Greeneville is in honor of Nathanael Greene, a heroic general to many Greene County men who served in the Revolutionary War.

Greeneville’s Civil War history and many other local artifacts are preserved in the Greeneville‑Greene County History Museum. Or perhaps you could visit the National Cemetery on Monument Hill and the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site. Greeneville’s Main Street is reminiscent of many small‑town main streets, lined with quaint shops, the historic General Morgan Inn, and numerous churches, reflecting Greene County’s strong faith base with more than 250 places of worship.

Along with Main Street, numerous stores and restaurants – including national chains and local favorites – can be found all around to satisfy that retail itch or calm that grumbling tummy.

So come visit Greeneville and see why so many people are proud to call it home!
