GENERAL

SUMMARY:

Manages all activities associated with fulfillment operations in the distribution center. Leads, plans and coordinates activities for all operations departments within the distribution center which include Receiving and Warehousing (including satellite warehousing), Shipping, Packaging, pre-pack and Order Processing departments. The incumbent would also be responsible for capital and expense budgets in all area of responsibility. Expected to manage all managerial functions for the distribution site including goal setting, performance evaluations, employee development and policy enforcement.

Deals with highly sensitive and confidential issues pertaining to customer relations and corporate finance.

• Coordinates with Managers, Supervisors, Order Assembly, Shipping, Warehousing, Engineering and Manufacturing in order to have orders shipped on time by the proper freight modes.
• Coordinates with Order Services, Retail Experience, Product Management, Global Sourcing, Corporate Transportation and Program Fulfillment to track product and order release.
• Lead the safety and Continuous Improvement efforts within assigned area.
• Forecasts labor requirements daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly as financial forecasts change and daily customer demands warrant.
• Work through department managers to ensure efficient operations.
• Prepares and administers capital and expense budgets for areas of responsibility.
• Ensure timely, cost efficient shipment of all orders.
• Working with and meeting with carrier representatives pertaining to trailers availability, tracing orders, expediting orders, rates, discounts, OS & D etc.
• Responsible for managerial tasks that include goal setting, performance evaluations, training and policy enforcement succession planning and all areas of staff development.
• Responsible for managing an efficient operation in all areas of the distribution/Material Movement processes.
• Responsible for project planning and process integrations that occur within the distribution process.
• Maintain communications with the officer groups on various subjects that may impact productivity and/or customer relations.
