Injection Molding SET UP TECH - 2nd SHIFT

Hiring:
Injection Molding Process Technician Drive production efficiency in an automotive manufacturing environment! Responsibilities include mold changes, machine setups, troubleshooting processing issues, and ensuring IATF 16949 / PPAP compliance. You will optimize cycle times, reduce scrap, and maintain equipment safety. 3+ years of molding set-up experience preferred.

salary: $60,320 - $64,480 per year

• Perform mold changes, machine setups, startups, and shutdowns for injection molding equipment
• Establish and verify process parameters to meet quality, productivity, and customer requirements
• Troubleshoot molding, material, tooling, and machine-related issues to minimize downtime
• Monitor production performance and make process adjustments to maintain optimal cycle times and quality standards
• Support APQP, PPAP, and customer-specific automotive quality requirements
• Ensure products meet specifications through first-piece inspections and ongoing process verification
• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing concerns
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on molding machines and auxiliary equipment
• Document setup data, process changes, downtime events, and corrective actions
• Assist in training operators on standard work instructions, quality requirements, and safe operating procedures
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap reduction, efficiency improvements, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
