Job Title
Quality Technician - Water Bottling Plant
Job SummaryAs a Quality Technician at our spring water bottling plant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining quality control processes throughout the production and packaging of bottled water. Your attention to detail, analytical mindset, and knowledge of quality assurance procedures will contribute to the overall success of our operations.
Responsibilities- Conduct quality inspections:
Perform regular inspections & tests to verify quality & safety of water products at various stages of the bottling process. - Monitor production processes:
Observe & evaluate manufacturing processes to identify potential quality issues such as equipment malfunctions, deviations from SOPs, or contamination risks. - Analyze samples:
Collect representative samples & conduct thorough analyses using appropriate testing methods. Assess pH levels, mineral content, microbial contaminants & other relevant parameters. - Document & report:
Accurately record & maintain detailed documentation of quality inspection results, test data & any non‑conformance issues. Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings & recommend corrective actions. - Calibration & maintenance:
Ensure testing instruments & equipment are properly calibrated, maintained, & validated. Perform routine checks & troubleshoot technical issues. - Compliance adherence:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, & internal policies. - Continuous improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement & participate in quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement corrective & preventive actions. - Training & support:
Provide training & guidance to production line staff on quality control procedures, product specifications, and best practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a quality technician or similar role in a manufacturing or bottling environment, preferably within the food or beverage industry.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, & tools.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and techniques for water quality analysis.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements relevant to the bottling industry (e.g., FDA, NSF, HACCP, GMP).
- Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient in data collection, analysis, and report writing.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced production environment.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with cross‑functional teams and communicate quality related issues.
