Drivers are required to function as integral team members within the shipping and receiving operations. The role will primarily entail operating commercial vehicles to maneuver and transport trucks and trailers to designated locations. Additionally, drivers will be responsible for the loading and unloading of freight.
Key duties and details for Truck Driver- Operate plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts
- Operate trucks exceeding 4 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations at various locations
- Drive trucks to deliver, collect, and move products, materials, and equipment as required
- Conduct daily user maintenance on vehicles and complete necessary reports and inspections
- Deliver exceptional customer service during product drop-offs and pickups
- Utilize all Material Handling Equipment, such as forklifts and hand trucks, as well as Roll Clamps
- Ensure compliance with all DOT, OSHA, company safety programs, and Federal Motor Carrier Guidelines
- Preserve and maintain all property in optimal condition
- Undertake assigned tasks to enhance team operations
- Provide assistance to other departments or areas as needed
High School Diploma orGEDExtended periods of sitting, standing, and operating material handling equipment
Adaptability to work in extreme weather conditions, including both hot and cold environments
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and successfully pass all pre-employment screenings
Must hold a valid Class A license with Air Brakes endorsement and possess a current medical card
Proficient in the safe operation and maintenance of equipment
Capable of making pickups and deliveries in accordance with shipping requirements
Previous truck driving experience essential with a clean driving record
Willingness to learn to operate all Material Handling Equipment Competent in completing commercial vehicle inspections
Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach andgrasp
Ability to lift at least 50lbs
