SummaryAs a Entry Level Structural Engineer at ATMI Precast, you will apply your engineering education to real-world structural design challenges. You will gain hands-on experience working with precast concrete systems and modern modeling tools, collaborate with experienced engineers, and see your work come to life in large-scale buildings. This is a great opportunity for an entry-level engineer who wants to grow their technical skills and be part of projects that shape the built environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare all work in accordance with approved office processes, formats, and standards
- Perform engineering analyses and calculations under the direction of senior engineering staff
- Assist with the design of precast components, connections, and 3D structural models
- Prepare drawings, models, and supporting documentation in AutoCAD, Revit, and Tekla
- Conduct 3D finite element analysis and design under supervision
- Participate in the development of in-house design templates, checklists, and standards
- Review and verify drawings, calculations, and documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Meet project deadlines and adhere to budgeted hours
- Support project teams by coordinating with engineering, drafting, and production staff
- Participate in external and internal training sessions and seminars to advance technical skills
- Manage assigned tasks and assist in leading small project activities as a Task Leader
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural, Civil, or Structural Engineering required;
Master’s degree preferred - Basic knowledge of structural analysis and design principles
- Understanding of finite element analysis and modeling concepts
- Familiarity with load analysis, including snow, seismic, and wind design
- Basic knowledge of current building and material codes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Adobe/Bluebeam)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or similar CAD/BIM software
- Exposure to engineering software such as RAM, RISA, TEDDS, or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical and construction documents
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Desire to learn new engineering tools and continuously improve technical skills
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment with diverse professionals
- Able to work for extended periods at a computer and occasionally visit construction or plant sites
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
- May be required to visit job sites and manufacturing plants with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, and dust
- Office-based role with extended computer use
