Job Overview
A 3rd Shift Welder for Bastian Solutions will be responsible for general welding and fitting, producing weldments for material equipment projects. The main emphasis for this position is welding/fitting, with other duties including fabrication, assembly, and painting of projects, as well as general repair and maintenance of Bastian Solutions shop equipment. The welder will maintain tolerances and dimensions specified by individual prints and is expected to have 1–2 years of experience in the welding/fitting field.
Responsibilities- Build high quality welded parts from blueprints with a low rejection rate; must maintain tolerances detailed on blueprints.
- Work from sketches and drawings to produce parts from sheet metal, plate, bar stock, and aluminum.
- Keep workspace neat and organized.
- Show mutual respect for coworkers.
- Show up to work every day on time (Sunday to Thursday 10:30 pm – 7 am).
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Overtime may be required when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis).
Required Qualifications
- Relevant welding experience required; MIG welding is preferred.
- Positive attitude, able to handle tense situations.
- Team player, able to take direction.
- General knowledge of fabrication equipment including horizontal saws, lathes, mills, and drill presses.
- Onsite weld test given prior to employment to establish skill set.
- Minimum High School or GED diploma.
No travel is required for this role.
