CNC Machin ist

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to manufacture components and products that meet quality and safety standards. CNC Machinists conduct quality inspections, adhere to safety protocols, maintain accurate production documentation, and collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

What You Will Do
  • Set up and operate intermediate CNC functions following detailed instructions and established procedures on CNC equipment to cut, punch, form, drill, pulse, spin, mill and stamp, to produce metal parts and components per design and drawing specifications required for subassemblies or finished products.

  • Load materials and parts, ensuring proper machine operation and workflow.

  • Utilize additional tools (e.g., drills, presses, soldering equipment) with proper setup and use as needed.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting of machining issues, identifying misaligned parts or equipment malfunctions; escalate complex issues to supervisors.

  • Track and document production metrics, including completed units and defects.

  • Inspect products for defects and functionality, conducting routine quality checks using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify specifications.

  • Identify and segregate defective parts for supervisor review; maintain accurate production and defect records.

  • Adhere to safety protocols, utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), perform basic equipment checks, and report potential safety hazards.

  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and properly store tools and equipment.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to address challenges and improve processes.

  • Ability to cross-train and work overtime as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

Required :

  • Education:

    High School Diploma or GED

  • 6 months to 1 year of CNC machining experience.

  • Familiarity with machining techniques, tools, and equipment.

  • Basic computer literacy.

  • Ability to use machining equipment, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and testing equipment effectively.

  • Ability to produce parts and products to meet quality standards.

  • Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.

Preferred :

  • 1+ years of machining experience.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.

  • Familiarity with quality standards and continuous improvement methodologies.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to handle parts and tools with precision.

  • Perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands.

  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

  • Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.

Additional Detail
  • Standard schedule is Monday through Friday 3:30pm - 12:00am. Overtime during the week and Saturdays when needed.

  • Pay Shift Differential
