POSITION PURPOSEThe Straightening Operator is responsible for making sure that propellers meet geometric quality standards by measuring the pitch and rake of the propellers to identify adjustment needs. The operator is responsible for straightening the surface of propellers by.
Requesting channels in am installing the shape. The operator is also accountable for aligning the surface of propellers by holding the parts in hand while hammering the stainless steel with a hammer or mallet.
The straightening operation is essential to creating high quality propellers and directly impacts the balance of the propeller, the boats' ability to plane and reach optimal speeds, as well as overall comfortability while in motion.
Starting $18.50 per hour with potential for growth based on experience.
Attendance incentives are available up to $160 per two-week period.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Operate grinding machines to shape and finish metal propellers
- Set up machines according to job specifications
- Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality specifications
- Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts
- Monitor machineangkat to maintain high quality
- Follow safety procedures, including wearing PPE and adhering to lockout/tagout protocols
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED/High School equivalency
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to stand and hold 40+ pound parts and lift them to a shoulder level height
- Must be able to use both hands
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting with a high degree of accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to operate various grinders and finishing hand tools
- Attention to detail
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Basic math and reasoning ability
- Must be a team player
