Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician with strong experience in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and facility maintenance. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring maximum operational reliability to support production and site operations.
- Perform routine and complex maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered manufacturing equipment and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and services according to established schedules for both equipment and facility infrastructure.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, diesel engine, and basic facility issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Replace, repair, and calibrate parts as needed to maintain operational standards.
- Perform general facility maintenance including, but not limited to, lighting, HVAC support, minor plumbing, painting, and basic building repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, including equipment and facility maintenance logs and repair documentation.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, hydraulic schematics, diesel engine diagrams, building layouts, and blueprints.
- Monitor equipment and facility systems performance and assist in identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Comply with all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Assist in training junior maintenance personnel as needed.
- Must be able to work Saturdays if required.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in Diesel Mechanics, Hydraulics, Industrial Maintenance, or Facility Maintenance preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and facility maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance best practices for equipment and facilities.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and facility system issues.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with standard safety practices in a manufacturing and facility environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform tasks in confined spaces.
- Must be able to complete and pass the ATMI Indy Safety Training Programs including but not limited to Lock-Out Tag-Out, Working from Heights, Confine Space, Forklift Operation, Manlift Operation.
- Ability to complete Crane Inspections.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screenings.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Basic electrical and PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Certification in diesel, hydraulic, or facility maintenance (e.g., ASE certifications, HVAC certifications).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
