Position Summary

Lead Technician holds a tremendous amount of responsibility in the success of Amerestore Restoration as a company. This position will be expected to be hard‑working, dedicated, on‑time every day, able to take direction and then manage/coach others to perform, able to meet paperwork and communication compliance, mentor, and coach technicians. The Lead Technician will present themselves in a professional manner, including dress code, hygiene, attitude, commitment, timeliness, and positive.

Essential

Roles & Responsibilities Basic Job Knowledge
  • Minimum of 1 IICRC certification or similar
  • Minimum of 1 year in the restoration business
  • Ability to photo document properly / close up / corner to corner / important items.
  • Ability to perform services and physical duties.
  • Ability to complete and set up proper type of restoration job based on scope and direction provided by senior lead technician.
  • Ability to run hand tools and basic power tools proficiently
  • Ability to run moisture meters, IR and understand the basics of psychometrics.
  • General knowledge of construction and restoration.
Communication on Phone and Email
  • Availability to answer and respond to calls and emails in a timely manner.
  • Ability to communicate with senior lead on a consistent basis.
  • We are an emergency service company – 24/7/365.

Technician Training (daily)
  • Mentor technicians on the following:
    Paperwork compliance
  • Quickbooks Time accuracy
  • Basic restoration knowledge – “the Amerestore way”
  • Customer service
  • Cleanliness, detailedness and job site success
Performing Work the Amerestore Way
  • Recognizing risk and safety on projects to ensure safe work sites for employees and clients.
  • Provide great customer service.
  • Keeping and maintaining clean and safe jobsite
  • Minimizing risk to clients and staff
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Availability to be on call.
  • Availability to storm duty or cat duty (may include travel)
  • Sense of urgency regarding projects and communication
  • Valid Driver’s license and legal to work in the USA.
  • Ability to keep Clean/organized vehicle.
  • Complete timesheets daily
  • A strong eye for detail and willing to SAY SOMETHING if you see something.
  • Reporting information to senior lead technician
  • Willing to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to complete the job 100%
  • Job requires dedication for a 24/7/365 position (we are an emergency service company servicing the entire country)
  • Other duties when assigned.
Physical Demands

The ability to fulfill any activities normally expected in a restoration/construction management, to include but not limited to participating in field type situations

  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, work for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to travel when required (primarily scheduled travel).
Company Description

MSA Cleaning Services was established in 1989 as a new construction cleaning company. In 1992 the business incorporated to become MSA Cleaning Services, Inc. The company established many new services from window cleaning, janitorial services, carpet and upholstery cleaning, tile floor maintenance, water and fire damage and later mold clean-up. Our President recognized the opportunities of the restoration industry and guided the company to restoration services.

In 2004 the President changed the dba (doing business as) to Amerestore, America’s Restoration Team. The company has continued to grow and now offers nationwide service and responds to natural disasters across the country. Since 2004, Amerestore has responded to several natural disasters from New York City all around the coast to Houston Texas. Today we regularly service Central Indiana and Louisville, Kentucky areas with a talented and very well‑trained staff ready to respond to any water/fire/smoke losses or mold crisis as well as full Reconstruction Services.
