Position Description

Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver. We want the right trucker to join us at Ryder in Greenfield, IN.

• Driver positions pay weekly
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.65 per mile with 1500‑1700 miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $25.00 per stop with 8+ stops per week
• Per Diem Pay: $30.00 per night with 3‑4 nights per week
• Paid training
• Schedule:
  
  Monday‑Friday; weekends during peak season
• Start time: 5:00‑10:00 AM
• Deliver solo to IA, IL, OH, KY, & IN (regional home weekly)
• Tractor type:
  Super Sleeper; trailer:
  Dry Van 53′
• Equipment: pallet jack and lift gate
• Freight: touch – retail goods
• Trucks 36 months or newer; 24/7 roadside maintenance; company fuel at 800+ facilities nationwide
• Uniforms and boot allowance provided
• Paid personal time off starts day 1 – 80 hours accrued in first year (unused paid out)

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements
• Class A verifiable experience: 9 months within last 3 years, or 2 years within last 5 years, or 5 years within last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect, eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
