Stoneleigh-Burnham School, an independent girls’ boarding and day school for grades 7-12, seeks a part-time Cook for one evening a week. Hours are 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm on Saturday, 5 hours per week during the school year.

Located in the Pioneer Valley, a short drive from the Five College Consortium (UMass Amherst, Smith, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire and Amherst College), Stoneleigh-Burnham School is the only girls’ school in New England to offer the IB Diploma Programme and attracts students from the local area and around the world. Our mission centers around helping our students discover and use their authentic voices.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the production and service of dinner one night a week for 20-40 Boarding Students. Additional shifts may be available for special functions. (i.e. Reunion, Family Weekends, Formal Dinners)
  • Oversees that safe food prep, serving and cleaning procedures are followed by the other Dining Staff members on your shift.
Qualities and Qualifications
  • Be able to follow recipes and prepare items in a timely manner.
  • Be able to maintain order and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Have good people skills.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds.
Compensation
  • Starting pay: $17.00 per hour
