Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is looking for a Food Service Aide to join our Food and Nutrition team at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, MA.
Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC) is an 89-bed community hospital in Greenfield, MA. BFMC services include emergency, surgery, cancer, heart and vascular, obstetrics, and more.
CompensationMinimum – Midpoint – Maximum
$16.68 – $19.17 – $22.36 (hourly for non‑exempt employees; based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees). Actual salaries are based on relevant experience.
- Per Diem, 1st and 2nd shift rotation
- Every other weekend shift required

- Proper food handling skills are a must
- Ability to observe all health and safety requirements
- Must be able to read and properly use recipes
- Maintain a sanitary environment in the work area. Clean and sanitize all work areas after performing job tasks in accordance with National Restaurant Association Guidelines.
- Practice proper infection control. Wash hands in accordance with departmental standards and use gloves appropriately.
- Set up and maintain work station for serving customers/patients correctly. Gather all tools and equipment needed. Maintain proper stock and re‑order items with no more than 3‑5 interruptions in service per year.
- Develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships with peers, guests and other employees.
- Respond to departmental staffing needs and be flexible with assignment changes.
- Create a customer‑friendly atmosphere. Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, visitors and staff.
