The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking a Recovery Coach to join our Franklin County Program in Greenfield, MA. The Recovery Coach will provide direct support to individuals who identify as having a history of addiction and substance misuse.

Your role as a Recovery Coach:

Recovery Coaches provide direct supports to individuals who identify as having struggles with addiction and substance misuse. Our Franklin County based program works with individuals to establish and support the person’s Recovery Plan by helping to set short-term goals and motivate the person toward recovery. Develop a helpful, confidential and supportive relationship with people and provide informal guidance, act as a sounding board, and build peoples’ confidence and hope.

REQUIRMENTS:

• Candidate who identifies as being in recovery from a substance use disorder and is willing to share details of his or her personal recovery experience.
• Minimum two years of sustained sobriety.
• Knowledge of the needs, concerns and goals of individuals who struggle with addiction.
• Completion of the Recovery Coach Academy and computer skills preferred but not mandatory.
• Reliable, registered & insured vehicle and approved driving record check.
• Approved criminal background check (CORI).

SUCCESS FACTORS:

The ideal coach will have strong interpersonal skills; empathy for others; demonstrated commitment to supporting those with significant needs; flexibility and a sense of humor, as well as the ability to work well within a team model and independently. Reliability and able to learn about and observe rules of confidentiality and boundaries. We offer supervisory support, regular team gatherings, and ongoing training for professional growth.

Pay range is starting at a minimum of $20.00/hr. with consideration for experience and training, along with a phenomenal benefit package that includes Dental, Health and Life insurance. Paid time off, earned vacation time and paid holidays just to name a few.
