Medical Assistant

Base pay range

$14.00/hr - $19.00/hr

The Certified Medical Assistant will support physicians and other members of the health care team at Advanced Foot and Ankle of Wisconsin by gathering patient medical history, obtaining and recording vital statistics, and occasionally assisting with minor, office-based procedures. They will enter the required information into EMR to ensure the quality of care.

• Greet patients promptly and courteously
• Perform duties under the supervision and direction of the physician
• Assist Physician in the exam room
• Provide patient instruction as directed by the physician
• Triage patients as needed
• Complete patient paperwork and enter into the EMR at the time of encounter
• Update medical records
• Prepare tools and trays for physicians
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, clean and stock exam rooms
• Create/Transfer orders

• HIPAA and OSHA knowledge and Compliance
• Certified Medical Assistant Certification required
• Medical office experience preferred
• Must be professional and courteous
• Podiatry terminology knowledge/experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work with a team or independently
• Knowledge of EMR/Computer Skills
• LMR Certification preferred

• Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time.
• May be required to bend, reach and lift up to 20 pounds as needed throughout the day.

• Part Time up to 30 Hours Per Week
• Travel to other locations may be occasionally necessary
