Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Gravesend Start Date: February 2026 Salary: £90-95 per day, dependent on experience Employment Type: Full time, fixed-term
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child with high needs, including Global Development Delay, non-verbal communication, sensory needs, and personal care. This position is based at a SEN school in Gravesend, Kent, and will run from February 2026.

Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 support to a child with high needs, including sensory needs, non-verbal communication, and personal care.
- Assist in achieving learning and development targets for the child.
- Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other professionals to create an inclusive, supportive environment.
- Foster an environment that promotes the child's independence and engagement in learning.
- Implement personalised strategies for communication, behaviour management, and sensory support.
- Passionate about working inclusively with children with additional needs.
- Experience supporting children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and non-verbal communication.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable providing personal care and supporting sensory needs.
- Previous experience working in a similar setting is an advantage.
