Dental Officer - Public Dental Service

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

• There are 2x fixed-term posts available for 12 months.
• The shift pattern for these posts Monday to Friday 8.30 – 4.30 pm.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit to two Dental Officer posts to support all clinical care for registered and unregistered patients which include Paediatric, Special Care and Priority & Vulnerable Groups within the Public Dental Service in NHS GG&C.

The successful candidates will be involved in the provision of clinical and domiciliary care within the Health Board area. The complex needs of patients cared for by the PDS requires dedicated individuals who can be flexible and meet the needs of these patients.

Posts require cross‑cover location from bases specified throughout the Public Dental Service within NHSGG&C.

The post holders must be registered with the General Dental Council as a dentist.
