Job Description & How to Apply Below

We're working with an established renewable energy business to recruit a Site Supervisor to oversee the safe operation, maintenance and performance of a portfolio of utility-scale wind and solar assets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in renewable energy, construction, site operations or asset management who wants to play a hands‑on role in supporting operational performance and the transition to a low‑carbon future.

The opportunity

As Site Supervisor, you'll act as a key on‑site representative, coordinating contractors, maintenance partners and technical teams to ensure that site activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards. You'll combine operational oversight, health and safety leadership, contractor management and technical coordination, helping to maximise asset availability while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities

Site operations and performance

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across a portfolio of wind and solar sites.

  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance, fault resolution and minor infrastructure repairs.

  • Monitor asset performance and work with O&M partners to minimise downtime and maximise production.

  • Supervise contractors, technicians and service providers, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to schedule.

  • Support maintenance planning and coordinate preventative and corrective works.

Health, safety and environmental compliance

  • Promote a strong safety culture across all site activities.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant HSE legislation, company policies and site procedures.

  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, inspections and safety audits.

  • Support the reporting, investigation and close‑out of incidents, accidents and near misses.

  • Oversee permit‑to‑work processes and associated documentation as required.

Contractor and stakeholder management

  • Act as the key on‑site contact for contractors, landowners and other stakeholders.

  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual and operational requirements.

  • Build effective working relationships with engineering, operations and asset management teams.

  • Provide clear updates on site progress, operational issues and performance.

Administration and reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, permits and maintenance.

  • Track equipment defects and maintenance activities using the relevant systems, including SAP CMMS where applicable.

  • Prepare operational, safety and performance reports.

  • Support cost tracking, resource planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

On‑call responsibilities

  • Participate in an on‑call rota, acting as the responsible company representative during assigned periods.

About you

You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of site activities in a safety‑critical environment. You'll also be confident managing contractors, coordinating multiple priorities and communicating with stakeholders at different levels.

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Operational utility‑scale wind and/or solar projects.

  • Renewable energy construction, project delivery or asset management.

  • Site supervision, maintenance coordination or contractor management.

  • Health, safety and environmental compliance, including relevant construction requirements such as CDM.

  • Monitoring operational performance, defects and maintenance through SCADA or CMMS systems.

You'll ideally also have:

  • A degree or relevant practical experience in mechanical, electrical, construction or a related discipline.

  • A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel regularly to remote sites.

  • Strong organisational, administrative and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.

SMSTS, GWO working‑at‑height training and a relevant medical are desirable. Candidates with a strong, transferable background in site operations or construction are encouraged to apply.
