We are looking for a Senior Discrete Design Engineer at our Greenock site. Relocation and sponsorship are available for successful Candidates.

Design Manager
PurposeDesigning new Discrete Analog products and processes to increase our capability to serve our chosen MOSFET markets;
Low Voltage, Medium Voltage and High Voltage.
- The specification, design, and development of new Discrete products and technologies: product definition, application, circuit, device and process simulation, layout, design of experiments, measurements, analysis of trial results
- The development of Discrete process platforms, establishment and re-use of design rules and functional blocks to reduce TTM and maximize RFT design
- Providing technical support for improving the performance, manufacturability, yield, and reliability of products as part of the company continuous improvement activity
- Developing the value of the Intellectual Property portfolio by documentation, re-use, and protection, as appropriate
- Assisting in the solution of customer problems associated with use of our products
Degree or equivalent in Physics, Electronics, or related discipline
QualificationsHigher degree in semiconductor related Physics
- At least 5 years’ experience.
- Knowledge of power semiconductor structures, simulation, and test.
- PC Literate (Word, Excel, Access.)
- LINUX / UNIX system literate.
- Able to analyse data and write concise accurate technical reports.
- Worked in a team environment.
- Safety conscious in a wafer fab or laboratory environment.
- Understanding and experience of semiconductor devices and manufacturing processes.
- Able to measure semiconductor devices, understand behaviors and suggest improvements.
- Designer of Discrete bipolar and MOSFET power semiconductor devices and technologies.
- User of one of the commercial T-CAD simulation software suites (Silvaco, Synopsis, TMA, or ISE, etc.)
- User of commercial CAD layout packages (e.g., KLayout, LEdit, Cadence, ICED etc.)
- User of circuit simulation software (e.g., P-spice, Cadence.)
- Wafer fabrication process experience.
- Analogue / Power Management market and applications aware.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
