Housing Care Worker – Overview

Trust Housing Association is seeking a compassionate Housing Care Worker to join our team in Greenock, Inverclyde. The role supports older and vulnerable adults in their own homes, operating between 7.00am and 10.00pm seven days a week. You will provide assistance with daily living tasks based on individual care plans, including medication administration, personal support and meal preparation.

• Deliver person‑centred care to older and vulnerable adults in their homes.
• Administer medication and support personal daily living tasks.
• Maintain accurate care plans and communicate with the care team.
• Work flexible morning and back‑shift schedules, including alternate weekend days.

• Hourly Rate: £13.00 per hour.

  19.5 hours per week over an average of 4 days on a rolling 2‑week rota basis.
• Permanent contract and living wage employer.
• Paid training, ongoing development and SVQ qualifications.
• Uniform, generous annual leave, pension contributions, paid SSSC membership and PVG Disclosure check.

• Experience in the care sector, working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community.
• SVQ in Health and Social Care or a relevant qualification.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic IT skills.
