The Role

We are excited to advertise a fixed‑term post as CBT Therapist or Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology (CAAP) (1.0wte) in the Inverclyde Primary Care Mental Health Team. The postholder will work within the function of delivering PT services to respond to common mental disorders (e.g. anxiety, depression). The service provides assessment and treatment to adults. Typical presentations include depression, anxiety, mixed depression and anxiety, adjustment disorder, type 1 post‑traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and obsessive‑compulsive disorder (OCD).

Interventions delivered by the PCMHT are on a ‘matched/ stepped care’ basis, based on individual assessment of need.

  • Crown House, 30 King Street, Greenock PA15 1NL
  • Full‑time, fixed‑term for 12 months
  • Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will join the wider Inverclyde community mental health services comprising staff in our local CMHT, OP‑CMHT and Community Response Service. The postholder will be well supported as part of the PCMHT staffing, and have access to a range of professional development and CPD opportunities.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job

Applications are invited from candidates either a postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from a BABCP accredited course or Masters level (or equivalent) degree in Psychological Therapy in Primary Care.
