Shape the Future of Enterprise Digital Services

Synergize Consulting is working with our client who are supporting a major UK Government programme and is seeking several experienced Service Now Platform Architect to play a key role in the design, governance, and evolution of a secure enterprise Service Now environment.

This is an opportunity to work on large-scale digital transformation initiatives, helping to define and deliver the Service Now platform strategy across a complex and highly regulated environment. You'll work at the forefront of platform innovation, driving architecture best practice, automation, and service excellence across critical business services.

The Opportunity

As a Service Now Platform Architect, you will be responsible for the overall design, architecture, and technical governance of the Service Now platform. Working closely with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, product owners, and development teams, you will ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to both business objectives and platform best practices.

A key focus of the role will be supporting and enhancingIT Operations Management (ITOM) capabilities, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB strategy, while helping shape the future roadmap of the Service Now platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and maintain the Service Now platform architecture and roadmap
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural governance across Service Now initiatives
  • Design scalable and secure Service Now solutions aligned with business and operational requirements
  • Lead the architecture of ITOM capabilities including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects and technical teams to ensure integration with wider technology ecosystems
  • Establish and promote Service Now development standards, best practices, and governance
  • Review and approve solution designs produced by development teams
  • Support platform upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives

    Provide technical guidance to developers, administrators, and project teams
  • Produce and maintain architectural documentation and technical standards
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Service Now Architect or Senior Service Now Technical Lead
  • Deep understanding of Service Now platform architecture and capabilities
  • Extensive experience across Service Now ITOM and ITSM modules
  • Strong knowledge of Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB, and platform integrations
  • Strong understanding of platform governance, security, and best practices
  • Experience integrating Service Now with third‑party systems and enterprise tooling
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Service Now Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
  • Service Now Certified Master Architect (CMA)
  • Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist – ITOM
  • Knowledge of ITIL and service management frameworks
  • Experience working within highly regulated and secure environments
Security Requirements

Due to the nature of this programme:

  • Candidates must hold current SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance
  • Successful candidates will be required to satisfy all Government security vetting requirements

Location
