Are you a hands‑on engineer with a passion for keeping essential machinery running smoothly? My client are looking for a Machine Service Engineer to join their growing team, supporting schools, colleges, and universities across Scotland.

This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in machinery maintenance who enjoys travelling, working independently, and delivering reliable, high‑quality service.

• Service and maintain Design & Technology workshop machinery in educational institutions
• Conduct LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) testing on dust extraction systems when required
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and diagnose machine faults
• Work across Scotland, with regular travel and overnight stays (typically Monday to Thursday)
• Use an online portal to manage weekly route planning and accommodation bookings
• Maintain accurate records and complete service documentation to a high standard
• Provide clear, professional communication with clients and colleagues
• Work independently, while contributing as part of a wider engineering team

• Proven experience in machine maintenance or repair
• Electrical experience preferred
• Ability to work without supervision
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check
