Salary: £60k to £65k per annum (depending on experience)

Job Overview

A leading and award‑winning player in print and packaging is seeking a highly experienced Production Director to set and communicate goals, improve structure and processes, and facilitate day‑to‑day operations to maximise productivity. The role requires a passionate leader who removes obstacles, solves problems and ensures that tasks are completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take control of the production facility and oversee the workforce.
  • Communicate goals and create clear, effective structure and processes.
  • Facilitate day‑to‑day running to ensure consistent productivity.
  • Lead teams in a senior managerial role within a print or packaging service environment.
  • Apply lean/six sigma processes and lead manufacturing optimisation projects.
  • Use continuous improvement tools to manage activities that enhance performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Plan and prioritise activities, thinking ahead to establish efficient courses of action.
  • Initiate actions, take responsibility for decisions, and drive long‑term success.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Extensive experience as a Production Director or equivalent senior managerial role.
  • Proven ability to motivate and develop high‑performance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of lean and six sigma principles and a track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of gaining respect and authority on site.
  • Determination, drive, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
