About the Role
As a Unit Nurse Manager (General) at a Barchester care home, you will use your compassion and initiative to ensure residents receive high-quality care. You will plan, manage and monitor the delivery of nursing that meets residents' needs and implement person-centred care plans that make a meaningful difference to daily life. Responsibilities include planning rotas, recruiting, training and mentoring staff, and building relationships with local regulators and social services.
You will have the autonomy to develop your unit and access opportunities for professional development.
To join as a Unit Nurse Manager (General), you must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration. Experience in producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments is important, as is up-to-date knowledge of clinical practices and regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines. You should be a natural leader with experience as a clinical mentor, supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship.
