Construction Material Testing Technicians will be responsible for testing and observing various construction materials both on-site and in our materials laboratory.

• Conduct tests and observations on construction materials.
• Prepare written and electronic reports regularly.
• Communicate verbally with site and office personnel as needed.
• Supervise and train less-experienced staff, if you have the relevant experience.
• Follow strict safety procedures and standards at all times.

• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• Ability to handle problems that involve multiple variables in standardized situations.
• A basic understanding of smartphones is required.

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience is not necessary, but at least 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
• Ability to commute to the office and job sites daily is essential.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Availability for overtime and weekend work is necessary as needed.
• The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• A willingness to work outdoors is essential.
