Job Posting:
Fabric Manager – Lee and Wrangler Denim

This position leads the center of excellence concerning denim fabrics across both Lee and Wrangler brands. The position works on the development of denim fabrications to support the design function with product innovation that meets end‑result retail needs but stays true to Brand DNA. Assists to drive new, trend right and innovative product consistent with the Merchandising briefs and Design aesthetic and functional needs.

Provides expertise in Fabric to the Design team to meet organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creative Vision: Responsible for developing the creative vision for Wrangler and Lee denim Brand Fabric Development.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensures all teams develop consistent denim fabric, trends, and creative direction across business categories to ensure brand positioning and brand equity objectives are intact.
  • Fabric
    Ownership: Review and critique fabrics, prototypes, and product development.
  • Issue Resolution: Assist in resolving outstanding issues regarding quality, costing and development time and action. Troubleshoots product development related problems to maintain calendar deadlines.
Skillsfor Success:
  • Knowledge of denim fabric construction, performance, and wet and dry processing treatments
  • Understanding of global sourcing of fabrics
  • Knowledge of product costing and product cycles
  • Strong collaborator
  • Proven ability to translate trends to specific targeted consumer needs.
  • Knowledge of textile testing methods and industry fabric performance standards

  • Fabric Development experience is a must
Educational/Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in fashion or apparel design, textiles, fabric construction
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
  • Travel required
