Faculty Physician - Pediatric - Moses Cone Hospital

The faculty physician will work as part of a team to facilitate excellent patient care, superior teaching and impactful research. Faculty are responsible for advancing this tripartite mission by performing all duties, functions and tasks related to furthering these important goals.

• Teaching and
  
  Education:
  
  Provision of educational conferences for residents, faculty, students and teams including Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs, Noon Conferences, Medical Student Lectures, Clinical Improvement Conferences, Board Review sessions and others as assigned.
• Mentoring of medical students, APP students and residents.
• Provide clinical supervision to students and residents on rotations as assigned.
• Provide patient care in various clinical areas as assigned.
• Scholarly Work and Research:
  Faculty should encourage and support residents in scholarly activities including abstract submission, poster presentation, oral presentation and case report publication.
• The faculty must establish and maintain an environment of inquiry and scholarship with an active research component, including collaboration and participation in approved research projects.
• Administrative:
  Participate in required or assigned committee work including THN, CHMG, Graduate Medical Education, Medical Staff or others. Develop new rotation or education experiences for students and residents in collaboration with leadership.
• Institutional Citizenship:
  Work as part of the larger team to improve access, reduce cost, improve quality and promote efficiency and better health outcomes. May include community outreach and professional events, program development and building professional relationships. Timely and complete documentation, patient satisfaction and referring physician satisfaction are needed.
• AHEC:
  Participate in AHEC projects as requested that meet the mission of the NC AHEC Program.

  Experience in teaching or perception medical residents or medical students.

  Active NC Medical License, Board certification in specialty, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider, Valid Driver's License. If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
