Position Title:
Temporary Program Specialist (Center for Undergraduate Research)
The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative, operational, and programmatic support to the Center for Undergraduate Research by managing internal processes, coordinating financial and purchasing tasks, supporting event logistics, and facilitating communication across university units. The Program Specialist ensures smooth daily operations that enable the Center to deliver high-quality services to students and faculty.
Primary Function of Organizational UnitThe Center for Undergraduate Research (
CUGR
) supports student engagement in high-impact research experiences across all academic disciplines. The unit provides programs, funding opportunities, mentorship connections, workshops, research placements, and campus-wide coordination to increase student participation in research and enhance academic excellence and experiential learning.
Administrative, operational, and programmatic support tasks such as processing financial and purchasing requests, managing event logistics, coordinating communications, and maintaining smooth daily operations for the Center.
Qualifications- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree.
- Preferred Qualifications: At least 1 year of administrative, program coordination, or office management experience in a higher education or comparable professional environment.
$22/hr.
Work Hours8:30 - 4:30 Monday - Friday.
