The Department of Computer Systems Technology (CST) invites applications for Part‑Time Instructors for Spring 2026 or Fall 2026. Part‑Time Instructors are hired on a semester‑by‑semester basis to teach a variety of courses in electronics technology, information technology, and computer system technology programs. This is a temporary position.

• Teach face‑to‑face and/or online courses in electronics technology, information technology, and computer system technology programs.
• Attend training and/or review sessions.
• Academic advising of students, supporting student organizations.
• Participate in program development and assessment.
• Work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and university.

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

• Minimum of one year teaching experience at the university or community college level and related industrial experience.

• Classification:
  Temporary – Part‑time, Exempt; FLSA:
  Exempt.
• Appointment Length:
  Semester‑by‑semester. Position available 03/02/2026.
• Remote or Hybrid work arrangement possible consistent with university and state policies. Must reside in North Carolina within 2‑hour commute.
• Recruitment Salary Range:
  Commensurate with education and experience.
