Position Overview
The Department of Computer Systems Technology (CST) invites applications for Part‑Time Instructors for Spring 2026 or Fall 2026. Part‑time instructors are hired semester‑by‑semester to teach courses in electronics technology, information technology, and computer system technology programs. This is a temporary position.
The successful candidate is expected to teach introductory and advanced level courses.
Responsibilities include:
teach face‑to‑face and/or online courses; attend training and/or review sessions; academic advising of students; support student organizations; participate in program development and assessment. The candidate will work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and university.
Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field at the time of application.
Preferred Experience , Skills, Training, EducationCandidates with a minimum of one year teaching experience at the university or community college level and related industrial experience.

WorkArrangement
Position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies. N.C. A & T employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina within a two‑hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
