The Department of Built Environment invites applications for Part‑Time Instructors for Spring 2026. Part‑Time Instructors are temporary employees hired on a semester‑by‑semester basis and will teach courses in the Construction Management program.
Responsibilities- Teach introductory and advanced level courses, both face‑to‑face and online.
- Attend training and review sessions.
- Provide academic advising and support student organizations.
- Participate in program development and assessment.
- Work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and university.
- Master's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries.
- Ph.D. in a related academic area.
- Previous teaching experience in face‑to‑face or online environments in higher education.
- Professional licensure in related disciplines (preferred).
- This position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement consistent with university and state policies. Employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina within a 2‑hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
