Part-Time Instructor | Construction Management

The Department of Built Environment invites applications for Part‑Time Instructors for Spring 2026. Part‑Time Instructors are temporary employees hired on a semester‑by‑semester basis and will teach courses in the Construction Management program.

• Teach introductory and advanced level courses, both face‑to‑face and online.
• Attend training and review sessions.
• Provide academic advising and support student organizations.
• Participate in program development and assessment.
• Work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and university.

• Master's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2 to 3 years of professional experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries.

• Ph.D. in a related academic area.
• Previous teaching experience in face‑to‑face or online environments in higher education.

• Professional licensure in related disciplines (preferred).

• This position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement consistent with university and state policies. Employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina within a 2‑hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
