Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to architect, manage, and maintain high-performance/high-availability information transport systems infrastructure that supports enterprise technology services.
Responsibilities- Provides cabling/wiring services for UNCG's Layer 1 network/communications infrastructure.
- Designs, manages, and installs Commscope and Corning cabling systems in accordance with University design guidelines and standards.
- Ensures the timely repair of UNCG's inside cable plant and outside cable plant.
- Collaborates with other ITS teams, the UNCG Facilities department, Designers, and Contractors to ensure UNCG's structured cabling systems are properly designed, built, and protected during construction and renovation projects.
- Mid-career with Master’s and 1-2 yrs experience; or Bachelor’s and 2-4 yrs experience; or equivalent education/experience.
