Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a detail‑oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to oversee and support our client's health, safety, and environmental programs. This role ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, promotes a culture of safe work practices, and helps reduce risk across all facilities and operations.
Job Duties- Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
- Conduct routine inspections and audits of workplaces, equipment, and processes; identify hazards, assess risks, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Manage incident reporting and investigation processes, maintain records, analyze trends, and recommend preventive measures.
- Coordinate occupational health programs.
- Monitor environmental compliance (waste management, emissions, spill prevention, water quality) and assist with permit applications and reporting.
- Facilitate safety training sessions (new hire orientation, toolbox talks, incident response, hazmat handling) and track completion.
- Develop emergency preparedness plans, run drills, and support incident command activities as needed.
- Collaborate with operations, facilities, HR, and senior leadership to integrate EHS into daily operations and project planning.
- Maintain EHS metrics dashboards, prepare periodic reports for management, and support regulatory inspections and audits.
- Stay current on changes in EHS regulations, industry best practices, and technological solutions; recommend updates accordingly.
- Manage supplier and contractor EHS compliance, including prequalification, onboarding, and site‑specific safety requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of SAP software experience.
- Professional certifications preferred (NEBOSH, CSP, CIH, ASP, or equivalent).
- 2–5 years of experience in EHS program administration, ideally in manufacturing, construction, or laboratory settings.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ISO 14001/45001 standards, and applicable local regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to conduct risk assessments and root‑cause analyses.
- Excellent communication and training abilities; capable of presenting to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software; basic data analytics skills.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to sites as needed.
