WHAT OUR LIFEGUARDS DO

Our Lifeguards are the heartbeat of water safety across the park.

You’llmonitoraquatic areas, respond quickly to emergencies, and partner with Aquatics leadership to keep every guest experience safe and enjoyable.

A LIFEGUARD’S DAY-TO-DAY

• Monitor aquatic areas and prevent injuries by proactively communicating with Guests andeliminatinghazards.

• Enforce all safety and departmental rules whilemaintaininga polite and professional demeanor.

• Educate Guests on safety protocols and ensure all posted warning signs are adhered to.

• Conduct safe and effective rescuesin accordance with training and lifeguard certification protocols.

• Maintain test-ready skills to always respond to emergencies.

• Participate in all required in-service training tomaintainlifeguard certification.

• Be knowledgeable in completing live audits correctly.

• Report any safety concerns or incidents to the Lifeguard Lead or Supervisor immediately.

• Ensure all equipment is in good working order before use.

• Keep hip packs filled and prepared for emergency situations.

• Utilize and understand whistle signals for effective communication with team members.

• Work collaboratively with fellow team members tomaintaina safe and enjoyable Guest experience.

• Remain alert andengagedthroughout shifts to ensurea high levelof safety awareness.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support park operations.

WHAT IT TAKES

• Minimum age: 16 years.

• Must pass Lifeguard training (provided by the company).

• Must pass CPR/First Aid certification.

• Strong swimming ability and endurance.

• Ability tomaintainfocus and vigilance in a fast-paced environment.

• High school diploma, equivalent, or currently enrolled in high school.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Typical entertainment and waterpark environment whereyou’llwalk, bend, and stand for extended periods, and may lift objects with some assistance.

You’llwork outdoors in various weather conditions and remain highly alert throughout your shift.
