Portfolio/Credit Manager

The Portfolio/Credit Manager is responsible for the overall asset management and reporting of a loan portfolio, working closely with lenders, underwriters, relationship managers and the credit administration team to support the bank’s credit goals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with relationship managers on new loan requests by preparing preflight memos, term sheets, financial analyses and credit presentations.
• Identify and assess key risks related to borrower performance, industry trends and other variables.
• Review loan structures to ensure appropriate risk mitigation, monitor portfolio trends, track borrower financials and covenant compliance.
• Communicate adverse developments proactively and conduct annual reviews for existing customers to assess asset quality.
• Participate in client calls, prepare documentation, and make recommendations supported by detailed analysis.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, banking regulations and BSA/AML requirements.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of borrower relationships and exposure.

Qualifications:

• 3‑5 years of experience in commercial or business lending.
• Strong financial and credit analysis skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Excellent communication, research, and analytical abilities.
• Capability to work independently while managing multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
