• Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients.
• Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs.
• Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning.
• Manages caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements.
• Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services.
• Facilitates urine drug screening for patients.

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Must be registered with the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Certification board – applicants who are not registered will not be considered for employment. (LCAS, LCAS-A, LPC, LCSW or CADC). LCAS preferred.
• Experience treating opiate‑addicted patients is not a requirement but is preferred.
• Candidate must be willing to start early in the morning, as work hours start at 5:00 AM.
• If recovering, three years of continuous verifiable abstinence is required.

• Consistent schedule with early in times and out times
• Advancement opportunities. Clear, climb structure into Counselor levels (1, 2,
  3) based on the certification or license held.
• Targeted caseload. Caseloads follow state regulations and can range from 40–55 patients.
• Excellent training if you are new to our field. We can offer necessary training/supervision to those in process of becoming fully certified or licensed.
