Clinical Psychology Assistant Professor

Our department is home to the UNCG Psychology Clinic (
(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)./), our doctoral training clinic that provides mental health services to the broader community, with a focus on providing empirically supported treatments to underserved populations in a culturally competent manner. UNCG’s clinical program emphasizes the integration of science and practice, values both basic and applied research on human behavior across the life span, and encourages collaboration across research areas. The doctoral program in Clinical Psychology is accredited by the American Psychological Association.

• Applicants must hold or anticipate a doctoral degree by August 1, 2026 from an APA‑accredited clinical program and be licensed or license‑eligible in North Carolina.

• We welcome applications from any area of child/adolescent clinical psychology. All applicants should show evidence of a strong independent research program, a commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds, and excellence in graduate and undergraduate teaching and practicum supervision.
• We are particularly interested in researchers who would broaden existing departmental strengths by adding expertise in areas such as pediatric health psychology, autism spectrum disorders, and childhood trauma.
• We also welcome applicants outside of these areas.
