Overview

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department, assists in the training and development of subordinate staff, estimates personnel needs, assigns work, meets completion dates, and ensures consistent application of organizational policies. Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.

Job Summary

Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the Noble Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers.

Travel

Travel may be required to meet with State Boards of Pharmacy and attend various Noble business and management conferences.

Shifts

Includes day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Follows the Noble Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients
  • Supports fulfillment of specialty or niche distribution products
  • Obtains and maintains licensure in other states as required
  • Provides support and guidance to patients as part of Noble’s Clinical Management Programs
  • Ensures compliance with all Noble policies and procedures
  • Participates in after‑hours/on‑call rotation as required
  • Performs all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed, reporting incidents in a timely manner per company guidelines
  • Follows all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy
  • Monitors all claims for proper reimbursement and collection of funds due
  • Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while maintaining stock for customer needs; oversees transmitting, processing, and receiving of orders to and from the Noble Warehouse and additional suppliers as needed
  • Oversees the checking of pharmacy inventory for out‑dates and processing of all returns
  • Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
  • Ensures compliance with all rules and regulations pertaining to Mississippi, New York State, and all other states in which prescriptions are dispensed and delivered
  • Ensures in‑store pharmacy technology is used to its fullest potential for maximum return on investment and lifespan
  • Exhibits outstanding customer service at all times
  • Ensures all loss‑prevention policies are followed and reports deviations to Loss Prevention
  • Maintains a clean and professional pharmacy environment
  • Develops professional relationships with doctors and other health‑service professionals
  • Stays informed about developments in Pharmacy and Health Care Services and integrates them into practice
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
  • Facilitates communication between professional staff and Noble personnel
  • Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating within those guidelines
  • Assists in training and development of all pharmacy department personnel
  • Interfaces with various auditors and outside agencies as needed
  • Completes all mandatory and regulatory training programs
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Education
  • Minimum: BS degree in Pharmacy
  • Preferred:
    Pharm

    D degree in Pharmacy

Special Conditions Of Employment
  • Drug test

Compensation

$65.00–65.86 per hour. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
